Why idle games drain your energy

Idle games and clicker titles are designed around one mechanic: tap as often as possible. Collecting gold, claiming chests, and triggering combos all require repeated taps at regular intervals. Doing this manually for hours leads to thumb fatigue and missed sessions.

autoTap removes the physical effort entirely. You set a tap point and interval, then let the app handle the tapping while you do something else.

Setting up autoTap for idle farming

1

Open your idle game and locate the tap target

Start your game and navigate to the main farming screen — the area you normally tap repeatedly. This is usually a central monster, resource node, or action button.

2

Set the tap point in autoTap

Switch to autoTap and tap Set Tap Point. A crosshair overlay appears. Drag it to the exact position you want tapped, then confirm. autoTap remembers this position even when apps are in the background.

3

Configure the interval

Set the tap interval to match your game's mechanic. For most idle games, 200–500 ms works well for fast resource generation. For games with cooldowns, match the cooldown timer exactly.

4

Start autoTap and switch back to your game

Tap Start in autoTap. A floating control panel appears on screen. Switch back to your game — taps will fire automatically at the coordinates you set.

Multi-point sequences for complex farms

Many idle games require tapping multiple targets in sequence — for example: collect gold → upgrade building → collect again. autoTap's multi-point mode handles this:

  1. Add each tap point in order using Add Point
  2. Set a delay between each point if needed
  3. autoTap cycles through the sequence continuously
Pro tip

For overnight sessions, enable your device's "Stay awake while charging" option in Developer Options. This prevents the screen from locking and interrupting autoTap.

Common questions

Will the game detect autoTap as cheating?

autoTap uses Android's Accessibility Service to simulate taps — the same API used by screen readers and assistive tools. Most mobile games do not flag accessibility-based input. autoTap does not modify game files or memory.

Can I run autoTap while the screen is off?

The screen must remain on for Accessibility Service taps to register. Use a charging cable and enable "Stay awake while charging" to keep the screen on during long sessions.

Does it work with games that have anti-automation measures?

autoTap simulates human-like touch events. It does not bypass server-side validation or inject code. Games with server-enforced rate limits will not see artificially inflated stats beyond what the tap rate allows.
